Police Reports and Records

How to obtain copies of Police Reports?

Copies of some police reports may be released by the Mesilla Marshals Department, which has a public counter in the lobby of the Marshals/Fire Public Safety Building, 2670 Calle De Santiago. Reports may take up to 48-hours after the report is filed to be processed and available for release, although 24-hours is more common. The base fee for a report is $1.00 per page and additional fees may apply depending on the type and complexity of the report, and whether or not photographs are included.

For people who have been involved in a traffic related motor vehicle accident, it is usually possible to obtain a copy of the Uniform Traffic Accident report through your insurance representative to satisfy insurance company needs even if the report cannot be released, and the base report fee applies.

Related Fees (civil subpoenas, witness fees, report fees, impound fees and statistical information fees, etc)
